How to Make the Most Out of Your THERMAOXMineral•Vitamin•Antioxidant enriched cleansing gel

YOUR SKIN IS THE MOST IMPORTANT!

Skin reflects origin, lifestyle, age and health. Color, tone and uniformity of the skin,
pigmentation, as characteristics of the skin, are signs of skin health. That is why the skin should
be cleaned and cared for! Dr Asya Grafy offers a range of THERMAOX products and skin care
procedures to cleanse, soothe, restore, strengthen, protect and heal your skin and thus keep it in
“good condition”.
In order to better understand and know our skin, we need to know its basic composition.
The skin has three layers:

  1. Epidermis – outer layer, which includes a barrier
  2. Dermis – which primarily consists of collagen and elastin, which ensure firmness and
    elasticity of the skin
  3. Hypodermis – the deepest layer of the skin consisting mainly of fat cells, which helps
to provide structure to the skin, blood capillaries, lymph vessels, sweat glands,
sebaceous glands and hair follicles (Figure 1).

Skin pores expand with heat and contract with cold. Skin cleansers are superficial – active
substances that lower the surface tension on the skin and remove unwanted substances.
Cleansing gels have a clear, jelly consistency and should be rinsed off after application. They
offer deep cleansing in just one application, unclogging pores, removing excess oil and clearing
acne-causing bacteria. Gel products are highly hydrating and rich in moisturizing ingredients that
help the skin feel moist and fresh. Careful face washing helps improve and prevent acne;
however, intensive washing has the risk of damage to the skin barrier and dry skin, especially in
sensitive skin. An ideal cleanser should do all this without damaging or irritating the skin, on the
contrary, it should strive to keep the skin’s surface moist.

WHY WE NEED TO CLEAN OUR SKIN?
It is necessary to clean the skin on a daily basis because it allows the removal of dirt,
sebum, microorganisms, and other undesirable substances from the skin. It enables reduction of
unpleasant skin symptoms (e.g. itching, burning, odor), restores and protects damaged skin (e.g.
dry and inflamed skin). It thereby strengthens intact but vulnerable skin (e.g. pH balance of the
skin surface) and provides a pleasant skin sensation (well-being). That’s why THERMAOX
cleansing gel is here, aiming to help skin homeostasis and prevent degenerative processes
(Figure 2). THERMAOX antioxidant enriched cleansing gel has been designed using the ancient
wisdom of the healing power of thermal water and the scientific knowledge of botanical extracts.

Interesting fact: In earliest times, cleansing was done by using a piece of bone or stone to
scrape the skin. Later civilizations used materials of plant origin along with water for
cleansing.

The demand for herbal skin care products is increasing day by day. Natural products have
traditionally been used in the pursuit of health and well-being and therefore offer potentially
promising nutritional and medicinal value with little or no side effects. Natural products are
basically chemical compounds that come from living organisms found in nature, such as
microbes, algae, plants and animals. Plants, fruits, flowers, leaves, minerals, water and soil can
be sources of natural ingredients. The THERMAOX antioxidant enriched cleansing gel is just as
naturally based, combined with the proven wisdom of thermal water treatment with the most
modern scientific expertise in botanical extracts.

THE UNIQUE COMPOSITION OF THERMAOX® CLEANSING GEL
When it comes to skincare, the importance of a quality cleansing product cannot be
overstated. An ideal cleanser not only removes impurities and makeup but also prepares the skin
for the next steps in your skincare routine. One such outstanding product is the THERMAOX
cleansing gel, known for its unique formulation that suits all skin types, including very sensitive
ones. Let’s consider the exceptional ingredients and their individual benefits, which work
together to provide a refreshing and effective cleansing experience
Antioxidants – The skin, which is constantly exposed to sunlight and environmental
oxidative pollutants, is a preferred target of oxidative stress. It is well known that UV
radiation causes the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in skin tissues
causing toxic changes. Antioxidants are molecules that can be oxidized before or
instead of other molecules, capable of reducing oxidative stress, which accelerates the
aging process of the skin. These are compounds that can interact with ROS and stop
the chain reaction before vital molecules are damaged. Natural antioxidants used in
the cosmetic industry include various substances and extracts obtained from a wide
range of plants. Interest in the health effects of natural antioxidants is growing every
day due to their safety and applicability in cosmetic formulation.
Slovenian thermal water – Slovenian thermal water is a key component of
THERMAOX cleansing gel, providing numerous benefits for the skin. Rich in
essential minerals, this water improves skin function by promoting protein synthesis,
hydration and detoxification. Minerals act as electrolytes, antioxidants and anti-
inflammatory agents, offering protection against UV radiation and microbial attack
while nourishing the skin. The unique properties of Slovenian thermal water not only
contribute to effective cleansing, but also support overall skin health, making it an
ideal ingredient for all skin types. 1
Vitamins – It is believed that the use of vitamins in cosmetics on a topical basis can
help to protect and possibly repair the damage caused by ROS. Moreover, some
vitamins can be beneficial for the skin due to their effects, such as the reduction of
pigmentation and bruising, the activation of collagen production, the refinement of
keratinization and anti-inflammatory effects. THERMAOX cleansing gel is enriched
with essential vitamins that provide numerous benefits for the skin, including: vitamin
C (ascorbic acid); vitamin E (tocopherol); vitamin B3 (niacin) and vitamin B5
(pantothenic acid). Together, these vitamins work synergistically to improve the
overall health and appearance of the skin.
Aloe Vera – Aloe Vera is an outstanding ingredient in THERMAOX cleansing gel,
which stands out for its countless benefits for the skin. Known for its exceptional
moisturizing and softening properties, Aloe Vera not only hydrates the skin but also
soothes irritation, making it ideal for sensitive skin types. Its ability to reduce fine
lines and wrinkles contributes to a more youthful complexion. According to research,
Aloe Vera contains various bioactive compounds that improve skin healing and
promote cell regeneration. In addition, its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial
properties are known, additionally protecting the skin from environmental stressors.
Incorporating Aloe Vera into its formulation, THERMAOX cleansing gel not only
cleanses but also nourishes and revitalizes the skin, making it an essential addition to
any skin care routine.
Jojoba oil and squalene – Jojoba oil and squalene are key ingredients that offer a
range of skin benefits. Both are deeply penetrating moisturizers that nourish and
restore elasticity, making skin firmer and younger looking. They work synergistically
to reduce wrinkles while providing anti-inflammatory properties that soothe irritated
skin. Research shows that jojoba oil closely resembles the skin’s natural sebum,
allowing for better absorption and improved skin healing. In addition, squalene,
known for its light texture and high emollient properties, helps prevent acne by
balancing oil production and minimizing clogged pores. The combined effects of
jojoba oil and squalene create a powerful hydrating duo in THERMAOX cleansing
gel, ensuring skin is not only clean but also deeply hydrated and revitalized.
